RESOLUTION SUPPORTING BLACK HILLS POWWOW ASSOCIATION AND ITS ANNUAL BLACK HILLS POWWOW AND ENCOURAGING TRIBAL AND NON-TRIBAL SUPPORT THE GPTCA WILL WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TUSWECA TIOSPAYE TO UNITE THE TRIBES OF THE GREAT SIOUX NATION IN EFFORTS TO SAVE THE LAKOTA DAKOTA NAKOTA LANGUAGE Support for Fair and equitable Treatment of the Human Rights of American Indian Motion to support Standing Rock, Oglala and other Tribes of the Great Plains in their requests for resources and funding to alleviate the immediate crisis with Law & Order in the Great Plains Region. This Resolution is set forth to condemn the attempts by attorneys and other groups to divide the people of the Sioux Nation by soliciting support from individual tribal members to distribute Docket 74A/74B Claims settlement money GPTCA Recommendations for S. 3320 and H.R. 6583 to create a Comprehensive Justice System for our People Support for Law Enforcement Authority to Be Returned to the Agency Superintendent and Remove Elmer Four Dance from Aberdeen/Great Plains Region Urging all Native Americans to vote in elections on November 4, 2008 Support for appointment of Great Plains Tribal Citizen to National Indian Gaming Commission and Support for resolution of issues involving the scope of Class II gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act Support for Efforts to Determine Needs and Priorities of Tribal Nations of the Great Plains for the 111th United States Congress and Administration Support for Senate Committee on Indian Affairs Hearing on Tribal Transportation Issues Under the federal SAFETY-LU Act (Transportation Act)  GPTCA supports the initiatives represented by the GLOBE program and urges its Member Tribal Nation to continue the education programs about global warming and other environmental issues that affect Indian country assisting in the Renaissance of Tribal Nations. DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY REGARDING PRESERVATION OF NATIVE LANGUAGES INCLUDING THE DAKOTA, LAKOTA, NAKOTA LANGUAGE. Support for advancing Chairman Ron His Horse Is Thunder and Brian Drapeaux for the position of Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs under the Secretary of Interior or other positions for which either of these individuals are qualified under the President-elect Barack Obama Administration. TO REQUEST THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS AND THE UNITED NATIONS TO RECOGNIZE THE 1890 WOUNDED KNEE MASSACRE WAS NOT A BATTLE Support for advancing Police Chief Ken James Sr. forward for the position of US Marshal or other positions for which he is qualified under the President-elect Barack Obama Administration.
